Flooring Installation Guide
Tile Installation is not at all a tedious process, but is interesting only if you have a clear ideal about it. The processes by which you may install tiles are the following:
(a) Preparation of the sub floor is the primary step for laying tiles. You can lay your tiles directly on the pre-existing floor or else you may do it on a plywood sub floor. In either of the cases, you need to remove the dust and debris that may spoil the new layer of your tile.
(b) In the very next step, you have to cut your tiles according to the shape and then put these tiles in proper places. Laying tiles is a work of precision and accuracy and while doing it, make sure not to crack the tile while cutting.
(c) The very next step of tile installation is to set a thin set of mortar. These look similar to cement and requires a great deal of attention, since when they dries up you cannot possibly remove them.
(d) Installing tiles would be the nest step. Lay your tiles, preferably starting from the center of the room and gradually move towards the periphery. The center is actually the point of intersection of the diagonals of the room.
