They come with a low maintenance cleaning solution. In fact you can also avoid carpet calamity, which are common if you have kids at home. These are some tips to maintain your laminate flooring and make it look like new for years.
- Use light-colored or color fast damp mop or cloth to remove dirt. You can also use quick sweep or brushless vacuum for everyday cleaning. However, make sure that you remove the dust or grits immediately as they can scratch the floor or even make it look dull.
- You should never allow fluids to remain on the laminate flooring for a longer period of time. Moisture may seep into the joints which may swell the core of the planks and lead to unsightly warping, buckling or even blistering of your floor. This is one of the reasons that you should either avoid using laminate flooring in bathroom and kitchen or glue or seal them carefully.
- Avoid using water, wet cloths or an abrasive cleaner on your laminate flooring as they can damage the wear layer.
